Treat your tastebuds at Twilight Feast & Fest
Foodies and music lovers are being urged not to make any plans for Friday, September 8 - with the hugely popular Twilight Feast & Fest event set to return as part of this year’s Laidley Spring Festival.
Following its successful debut last year, this free family-friendly event will see the Laidley Recreational Reserve come to life with an expanded Friday night program featuring a mix of flavoursome food vendors, as well as some amazing Queensland performers taking to the stage.
Now in its 60th year, the Laidley Spring Festival is Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s flagship event, bringing an influx of visitors from Queensland and interstate to experience the Lockyer Valley’s natural beauty, amazing produce and local talent over three big days from September 8-10.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Deputy Mayor, Cr Jason Cook said the Twilight Feast & Fest would bring an extra layer of excitement to an already jam-packed festival.
“The inaugural Twilight Feast & Fest was so successful last year that we just knew it had to be part of this year’s festivities,” Cr Cook said.
“I would encourage everyone to ensure their diaries are free for this event, which promises a wide range of food truck offerings that are sure to satisfy, plus the musical stylings of some very talented Queensland performers who will get you moving and grooving.
“The Laidley Recreational Reserve is going to be amazing with the festoon lighting and live music, which will get you pumped and excited for a fabulous spring-inspired weekend.
“So, dust off your picnic blankets and camping chairs because this evening event is not to be missed!”
Taking to the stage to entertain the crowds will be Queensland singer-songwriter Laura Frank, Toowoomba’s own certified vibe machine Kingston Crumb, plus a separate performance by the band’s lead singer Ethan Bielefeld.
There’ll also be a chance to wander through a curated collection of creatives and their artisan wares before Saturday swings around, bringing with it additional market stalls and foodie opportunities, all coordinated by Valley Events.
The Laidley Recreational Reserve is located on the corner of Patrick Street and Whites Rd, Laidley.
The Festival is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and features on the It’s Live! In Queensland events calendar.
