Pay tribute to outstanding community members
Nominations for the 2024 Lockyer Valley Australia Day Awards are now open – with residents encouraged to recognise the amazing work of members of the community, events and groups for their contribution to our region.
The annual awards pay tribute to the special people in our community who have gone above and beyond to help improve the lives of others and leave a positive imprint on our region.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan encouraged residents to think outside the square when it comes to nominating.
“Nominate someone who goes unnoticed or is maybe a different choice.
“It’s those residents who believe in their passion, and consequently follow through on their word who need recognising.
“The residents who empower others and bring new fresh ideas and insights to the community are those who a worthy of a nomination.
“Anyone can nominate, so I encourage the community to put forward a local individual or group accomplishing great things or supporting those in our community,” Mayor Milligan said.
