Sport and community groups invited to attend Grant Writing Workshop
If you’re a local not-for-profit community or sporting group who would welcome extra cash to fund projects, activities or upgrades, or you’re in need of assistance when it comes to grant applications, this workshop is for you!
Come along from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday, 24 October at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre and discover how to write a successful grant, how to write acquittals and good practices for grant record-keeping that can set you up for future grant writing success.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the free and informative sessions were for the region’s community groups and organisations.
“The workshop will have a focus on sport and recreation groups, but is still relevant to all community groups, and will provide participants with practical, easy to use information and resources.
“Attendees can expect to learn effective ways to work with their community, create partnerships, collaborate, build competency within their organisation and plan.
“This is a great opportunity to strengthen the community’s grant writing skills and we encourage those interested to come along, build networks with other community groups and improve your chances of success,” Mayor Milligan said.
