Grant Writing assistance is available
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is once again offering tailored support to local community groups through their free Mentoring for Grant Writing Program.
If you’re a local not-for-profit community or sporting group who would welcome extra cash to fund projects, activities or upgrades, or you’re in need of assistance when it comes to grant applications, this program is what you need.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the program was designed to help you discover how to write a successful grant, how to write acquittals and good practices for grant record-keeping that can set you up for future grant writing success.
“Council is pleased to once again offer this innovative mentoring program to support the region’s not-for-profit community groups, associations and clubs with developing grant writing skills.
“This is a training and development program, not a grant writing service and groups can expect to have access to our experienced mentor who will be able to grow their grant writing skills and knowledge of successful grant writing.
“Council’s suite of community capacity-building processes has been responsible for helping local groups win thousands of dollars in grants to the region, so we are excited to keep this program running,” Mayor Milligan said.
Not-for-profit community groups, associations and clubs are required to lodge information about their organisation and what they would be seeking funding for at https://www.lockyervalley.qld.gov.au/our-council/grants-and-funding.
Council will fund a mentor to work one-on-one with your group when applying for up to two (2) different grants and one (1) acquittal. The application forms and the acquittal can be retained by the group to use as templates/guidance for future grants.
The community can contact Council’s Engagement Team on 1300 005 872 or email engagement@lvrc.qld.gov.au for further information.
