We want to know your views on waste!
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is encouraging community members to have their say on their views, values and attitudes around waste management.
Council is in the process of preparing the region’s new Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan and Lockyer Valley Regional Council Deputy Mayor and Portfolio Councillor for Waste, Cr Jason Cook said the community’s feedback would play a vital role in ensuring the Plan meets community needs into the future.
“We’re seeking community feedback to help align the new Plan with existing and emerging values and preferences in reducing waste and maximising resource recovery.
“It is vital this Plan meets the needs of the community into the future, which is why we’re encouraging residents to have their say.
“This phase of engagement is not intended to focus on specific locations, prices or frequencies of possible waste management sites, services and approaches.
“Rather, it is focused on understanding views, values and attitudes of our community around waste.
“The next phase of engagement will involve the presentation of the Draft Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan, which will be informed by the results of this survey,” Cr Cook said.
