Lindt Café survivor coming to Gatton Library
The team at Lockyer Valley Libraries is excited to offer residents an opportunity to hear from an author with a story like no other.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, residents are invited to come along for an inspiring story of determination, connection, community and the Australian spirit.
Author Selina Win Pe will share her story and her book Untold truths: A journey to a ‘will of courage’ next month, a Council spokesperson said.
“As a survivor of the Lindt Café siege, Selina’s story is sure to be moving and emotional.
“The Lindt Café siege was terrifying and something many of us still remember to this day.
“Book now for your chance to interact with this incredible author, one who has been through an experience we can only begin to imagine.
“We love to give our community the opportunity to meet authors and connect with other readers – so come along for what is sure to be a memorable night.”
Selina’s story is one of determination to bring people together, and appreciation for our farmers, and the communities we rely on.
