Registrations open for Welcome Baby Celebration

Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Welcome Baby Celebration is an opportunity to formally introduce and welcome your baby as a valued member of the Lockyer Valley community, and registrations for the 2024 event are now open.

The celebration will be held at the Gatton Library, Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre on Saturday 25 May 2024.

Lockyer Valley CEO, Ian Church encouraged registrations for the event, which brings the community together for a special morning for families and their precious newborns.

“Since its inception in 2017, more than 180 babies have participated in the Welcome Baby Celebrations.

“If you have welcomed a new baby into your family in 2023, we encourage you to register and join in on this great celebration with family and friends.”

Each baby welcomed will receive a certificate from the Mayor, and a Lockyer Valley Libraries First 5 Forever gift bag. First 5 Forever is part of a literacy program being run through Lockyer Valley Libraries, to help provide strong emergent literacy foundations by connecting parents to a range of resources and ideas. Morning tea is also included.
