Lockyer Valley Libraries to play host to USA Today bestselling author
Lockyer Valley Libraries will play host to an Australian top 10 and USA Today bestselling fiction author, Victoria Purman, when she visits next month.
The esteemed author will visit to share her new title 'The Radio Hour' in-conversation, inspired by Victoria’s own time working in radio as a cadet journalist for the ABC.
This charming, funny, pointed look at the golden years of radio broadcasting in post-war Australia celebrates the extraordinary unseen women who wrote the radio plays that held a nation captive.
Victoria's recent book, A Woman's Work, was an Australian bestseller, as were her novels The Nurses' War, The Women's Pages, The Land Girls and The Last of the Bonegilla Girls. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
