Fanatics to contest skateboarding competition

The Rumble AM Series Skateboarding Competition is coming to Gatton next month!

Get ready to rumble when this exciting event rolls into the Gatton Skatepark on Saturday 22 June - and you’re invited to attend.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council has partnered with the BMD Rumble Pro Tour to bring the Rumble AM Series back to local turf.

Council’s Sport and Recreation Portfolio Councillor Anthony Wilson said this was an opportunity to watch the best local skateboarders battle it out under lights with the best from Queensland and interstate.

“Come along for what’s sure to be an exciting afternoon filled with tricks and flips of skateboarding action, coupled with intense competitions and jaw-dropping tricks.

“Age groups start from 9 and Under divisions, with entries all the way up to Opens.

“Even better - spectating is free and food and drinks will be available to purchase, so it is sure to be a great evening of entertainment to kick off the school holidays.

“Come along and see some of the nation’s leading talent in this skilled sport showcase their skills without leaving town,” Cr Wilson said.

The previous event, which coincided with the official opening of the upgraded Gatton Skatepark, attracted high quality skaters from as far as Noosa and Byron Bay.
