Lockyer Valley Libraries to host budgeting workshop
Lockyer Valley Libraries will host a targeted workshop next month to put the spotlight on how to ease the cost-of-living crisis for the region’s residents.
Lockyer Valley Libraries has partnered with the Salvation Army Moneycare team to bring their budgeting workshop to both the Gatton and Laidley Libraries.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor Julie Reck said this was a great way to learn to manage your money in these difficult times.
“Our community is telling us how hard it is to manage financially in this economy.
“We can all relate to the increased cost of living – be it groceries, fuel or mortgage repayments.
“That’s why we’re looking forward to welcoming the team from the Salvation Army Moneycare team to our libraries.
“We want to empower our community members so they can get a grip on their finances now.
“Come along to discover practical tips for increasing revenue and cutting costs and leave with insights to enhance your financial wellbeing.
“Plus, meet like-minded locals, swap tips and turn budgeting into something positive to talk about,” Cr Reck said.
