Lockyer Valley Regional Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from residents interested in volunteering at our Visitor Information Centre (VIC).

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Tourism/Visitor Information Centre Portfolio Councillor, Julie Reck said volunteers play a huge role in the success of the VIC.

“Volunteering at the VIC is an exciting role, and one that changes daily.

“Our volunteers are involved in the day-to-day operations of the Centre, speaking with customers and helping visitors on their holidays.

“Other duties include providing residents and visitors with details of key tourist attractions within the region, local history and information on Council’s facilities and local tourist venues.

“Our VIC is committed to providing excellent customer service and supporting local tourism operators.

“Without the generosity of our volunteers, the range of services we offer would be reduced and we extend our thanks for their community spirit.

“Volunteering your time is a great way to meet new people, connect with your community and learn new skills,” Cr Reck said.
