RADF funding now open for applications
Local artists can now access more funding, with Round 1 of the 2024-25 Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) now open.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is putting the call out for those with creative ideas they wish to develop to consider an application.
Council’s Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor, Julie Reck said RADF Grants were important for allowing our artists to develop their practice.
“This valuable program allows Council to invest and promote local arts and culture.
“We are looking for projects that provide public value and help support a robust living culture in the Lockyer Valley.
“These projects should also foster an engaged and creative community across all art forms, whether through song, dance, music and theatre or visual arts, craft, writing and gaming.
“This valuable program allows Council to invest and promote local arts and culture and we look forward to seeing that continue,” she said.
Cr Reck said Round 1 RADF projects may include programs or projects that respond to a specific opportunity or need within the arts sector, or to enhance creative festivals or events that offer quality outcomes, provide opportunities for local artists and bring residents together.
Applications must be submitted online via https://lockyervalley.smartygrants.com.au/ by 10am, Monday 2 December 2024.
"I would encourage anyone who thinks they may be eligible to have a look at the guidelines and reach out to us if they need anything clarified,” Cr Reck said.
RADF is a partnership between Lockyer Valley Regional Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
