Region celebrates Christmas at the Lockyer Valley Christmas Carnival
Crowds flocked to North Street in Gatton to celebrate the Christmas spirit at the 2024 Lockyer Valley Christmas Carnival.
Resembling a winter wonderland for the family-filled event, Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the night was full of local entertainment.
“We welcomed around 2000 residents over the course of the night, with everyone enjoying a night full of local entertainment.
“It was wonderful to see so many people coming together to catch up with friends and family and enjoy a festive offering of activities, games, live entertainment, Christmas markets and more.
“Our temperatures are far from that of winter, but we certainly enjoyed the magic and joy that comes from this time of year.
“There really is something magical about Christmas here in the Lockyer Valley, and on behalf of Council I certainly wish all residents a safe and joyful festive season,” Mayor Milligan said.
The stage program featured a mix of performances by local dance groups and a blend of traditional Christmas Carols and other great songs performed by local musicians.
The Gatton Lions Club, Gatton Scouts, the Rotary Club of Lockyer Valley and Girl Guides were on hand with a range of delicious dinner options available to purchase, including pizza and garlic bread, mini pancakes and churros.
