New Lockyer Valley Visitor Guide hot off the press!
From expansive farmlands to inspiring bucket list experiences, Lockyer Valley Regional Council is excited to launch the official 2025 Lockyer Valley Visitor Guide.
Council’s Mayor Tanya Milligan said the Visitor Guide was the ultimate tool for exploring the region’s vibrant offerings.
“Every year, this Guide not only gets bigger, better, and more exciting, but it also puts a spotlight on our country hospitality and unique towns and villages.
“It’s a true reflection of our beautiful region—from charming towns and historic buildings to delicious food, vibrant events, and scenic parks,” she said.
Growing year-by-year with fresh content, tips, and ideas, this free 60-page booklet is packed with everything visitors need to make their trip to the region truly unforgettable.
Featuring more than 100 local businesses, the Visitor Guide showcases everything from family-friendly activities to hidden gems, local events, and where to find farm-fresh produce. It also includes practical information on transport, scenic routes, and must-visit attractions, making it an invaluable resource for both first-time explorers and seasoned visitors.
Thanks to financial assistance provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), this year’s Guide has hit new heights with a record number of local businesses taking part.
“The Local Economic Recovery Program funding has allowed Council to champion the ‘Buy Local’ message, to support local and regional economic recovery from the impacts of the 2019 Queensland bushfires.
“The new ‘Business is Booming’ section in the Guide reflects some of the great stories of business resilience in the region.
“We’re proud that many of our small businesses are a labour of love and purpose, and business owners pour their hearts into what they do and it’s inspiring to see them bounce back after the natural disasters that frequently test our strength here in the Lockyer Valley,” Mayor Milligan said.
Forty thousand copies of the publication have been printed and will be distributed across 90 accredited Visitor Information Centres in Queensland. The Guide will also be available at local accommodation providers, attractions and businesses. Visitors can access it online or download it from luvyalockyer.com.au.
“We encourage residents to grab a copy from the Lockyer Valley Visitor Information Centre and share it with friends and family to highlight the wonderful experiences right here in our own backyard,” Mayor Milligan said.
The Lockyer Valley Visitor Guide is a cornerstone of the region’s tourism strategy, aimed at dispersing visitors throughout the region, encouraging longer stays, supporting the local economy and aiding families relocating.
