Lots on for Youth Week 2025
Youth Week 2025 is shaping up to include a jam-packed schedule, with a host of events on offer for young people aged 12-17 years.
Youth Week 2025 will run from 6 – 12 April and Council is continuing to partner with a range of local service providers to present an exciting program for this year.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said Youth Week was all about providing our youth with a voice, and an opportunity to use it.
“We want our young people to feel safe to express their ideas and raise issues that are important to them, and our region.
“Our young people make a huge contribution to our community, and any way we can get them even more engaged and involved can only be a good thing,” Mayor Milligan said.
Throughout Youth Week 2025, Council will run four events across the categories of Arts and Culture, Professional Development, Sport, and Social.
“Behind the scenes, we’re working hard to bed down these events, but we want to let our young people know now to keep an eye out so we can have as many of them attend as possible,” she said.
Further details of the full range of events available in the region will be published in the coming weeks. To keep up-to-date, see https://www.lockyervalley.qld.gov.au/our-services/community/youth/youth-week-2025
