Laidley Pool closure
Due to recent flood impacts, the Dal Ryan War Memorial Swimming Pool in Laidleywill remain closed until the start of the next summer season, being September 2025, to allow for repairs.
Council is working with the pool manager, BlueFit, to ensure affected users are informed. We thank the community for its understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Come along to the next Council Pop-Up at the Mulgowie Markets this Saturday, 5 April (subject to the weather) and enjoy a great opportunity to not only meet Councillors and Council staff, but to also:

Youth Week events
To celebrate Youth Week 2025, Council will host three FREE events for Lockyer Valley youth aged 12-17 years.
Enjoy live music, grazing tables and games in Laidley on Monday, 7 April, throw some hoops and hangout at the new Lake Apex basketball half-court on Wednesday, 9 April, and get creative at the ‘Geometric Abstract Portraits’ workshop at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre on Friday, 11 April.

The annual Heritage Festival is on again soon, showcasing the Lockyer Valley’s rich and vibrant history.

A range of flood assistance is available to Lockyer Valley residents, businesses and primary producers impacted by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Round 2 of the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), a partnership between the Queensland Government and Lockyer Valley Regional Council, is open.

New Art Gallery exhibition now open
Pay a visit to the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery to enjoy an exhibition that showcases the ancient art of feng shui!
Feng Shui 'n' Art, by local artist Debra Macpherson, has been inspired by Debra's passion for the creative arts and the auspicious Chinese practice.
Audiences are invited to appreciate the artworks in the context of the ancient art of feng shui, or simply enjoy the artist’s skills and creative talents before it closes on 4 May.
