Anzac Day services across the region
On 25 April, the Lockyer Valley will pause to commemorate the men and women who have served and fought for our country, as well as those currently in active service.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said Council would join the community in paying their respects to the men and women of the armed forces this Anzac Day.
“25 April 2025 marks the 110th anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
“We’re inviting residents to pay their respects to the Australian men and women who have served or are currently serving their country.
“The Lockyer Valley should be proud of how we have marked Anzac Day in the past, with both marches and services so well attended across the region and we certainly hope to see that emulated again this year,” Mayor Milligan said.
This year, an Auslan interpreter will be on hand at Gatton’s mid-morning service.
