Australia Day celebrations

Council’s 2025 Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony will take place from 9am on Sunday 26 January at the Gatton Shire Hall.

Pop-up series about to start

Council will host a series of community pop-up events throughout 2025!

This is your chance to meet with Councillors and Council officers to ask questions, provide feedback on consultation projects, and stay up-to-date on important initiatives.

Mahon Bridge works underway

Works on Mahon Bridge, Carpendale Road, Carpendale are now underway and will require a full closure of the road at the bridge from mid-January for approximately six months.

Recommended detours are via Gatton-Helidon Road or Ma Ma Lilydale Road.

The project is made possible with funding from the Australian Government’s Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program (formerly the Bridges Renewal Program).

Be prepared for flash flooding

The weather can be unpredictable, but you can be prepared.

With catchments already wet, flash flooding and creek rises are even more likely, so avoid non-essential travel during heavy rain and storms.
