Community Grants 2023-2024
During the 2023-2024 financial year, over $130,000 was distributed to local individuals and community groups as part of Council’s Community Grants Program.
This included:
- Major Community Grants awarded to 24 not-for-profit community organisations to assist them to undertake projects, activities or events that benefit the wider community
- Eight Minor Community Grants awarded to not-for-profit community organisations
- Support to 38 local individuals who excel in sporting, academic and cultural pursuits, through Council’s Ambassador Support Program
- Bursaries provided to the Dux recipient at three local high schools
- Funding to support the chaplaincy program to deliver positive social outcomes for school students in the Lockyer Valley
- Funding assistance for the 14 public hall committees in the Lockyer Valley region
- Financial assistance to six organisations to support ANZAC Day events
Applications for Round 1 of the Major Community Grants Program for 2024-2025 have now closed, with Round 2 expected to open in February 2025. Both the Minor Community Grants and Ambassador Support programs are available year-round, so please spread the word!
