BIOGRAPHY
Cr Hagan was first elected to Council in 2016 and is serving his third term as Councillor.
He has a turf and greenkeeping background and previously owned a turf supply and landscaping business in Lefthand Branch. In 2018, he sold the business to move into Gatton to concentrate on Council full-time. He also holds a Diploma of Management and a Diploma in Local Government – Elected Members.
Cr Hagan believes in the sayings ‘our children are our future’ and ‘always leave something better than you found it’, and his goal on Council is to ensure the region is better off than when he started and that children have a brighter future here in the Lockyer Valley.
His wife Debi works in aged care in Gatton and the pair share six children and 23 grandchildren (yes, 23!), half of whom still call the Lockyer Valley home.
Cr Hagan is Deputy Chair of the Local Disaster Management Group.
